I Did It!

You may recall a couple of posts ago my hesitation at chopping off these beautiful artichoke buds to eat. Well....I did it! I did however leave the largest, most juiciest bud to flower. I just HAD to.
Now I am looking forward to cooking these up in some garlic butter and serving with some feta and spinach pie.
I'll let you all know how it goes. I've only cooked artichokes once before and they were delicious, so here's hoping! *Bon apetite*

  2. You're making me curious. So much so, that I'm inclined to go out and buy some globe artichoke plants for my vege patch. Therefore, before I do this, I'll be waiting in interest as to your culinary opinion on these most dramatic of vegetables. They look to good to eat!

  4. YUM - the artichokes looks delicious! I don`t grow them myself ( being a lousy gardener) but I buy them from time to time and garlic butter always does the trick! Love the new look of your blog! You are one talented lady!

Lots of love to you my friend!

  6. Yes, I know, I'm still a bit afraid when it comes to cooking artichokes. I haven't been here for ages, but I'm impressed by how beautiful your background and everything is. And you've even posted a photo of yourself! Your garden is just sooooo beautiful.
