I Did It!

You may recall a couple of posts ago my hesitation at chopping off these beautiful artichoke buds to eat. Well....I did it! I did however leave the largest, most juiciest bud to flower. I just HAD to.
Now I am looking forward to cooking these up in some garlic butter and serving with some feta and spinach pie.
I'll let you all know how it goes. I've only cooked artichokes once before and they were delicious, so here's hoping! *Bon apetite*

  1. Hi Angela....the artichokes look lovely tho I am not sure if I would like them...my mother was always very fond of them and always had them at her dinner parties....very posh I always thought...thanks for leaving nice comments about my work...I really appreciate them...the white berries by the way are Rowan Berries...I think they are...anywa your photos are great as always....by the way are yo FaceBook and do yo like playing Scrabble cos I would love to play if you have time...take care xx

  2. You're making me curious. So much so, that I'm inclined to go out and buy some globe artichoke plants for my vege patch. Therefore, before I do this, I'll be waiting in interest as to your culinary opinion on these most dramatic of vegetables. They look to good to eat!

  3. Your blog is looking so lovely sweet friend, you have done an amazing job with it...Luv cxxx

  4. YUM - the artichokes looks delicious! I don`t grow them myself ( being a lousy gardener) but I buy them from time to time and garlic butter always does the trick! Love the new look of your blog! You are one talented lady!

Lots of love to you my friend!

  5. I hope they turn out yummy!
I've only had arichoke dip, but love it.

    Kimberly :)
