I had been wanting to take a photo of this quaint little building for so long now and at last I had my camera with me. I was in the right place at the right time as the day was drawing to a close; the colours were so soft and there was a full moon already rising. To top it all off the grass was green and in the west there was a beautiful sunset. I wasn't able to get a good shot of the sunset as the light contrast was too much for my camera. The cows were really mooing at us in expectation of a feed I think. It sounded so nice as it was very quiet except for the moos. I managed to plant up some more hyacinths- blue ones this time...the others are pink. I had only bought three so I decided to use the other three tins for camellia flowers. The single Camellia sasanqua are so delicate....a nice contrast to the tin I think.
I have a few projects on the go at the moment so I will get back to them and hopefully have some photos to show everyone soon. There's definitely more time to work on projects now the kids are back at school.

Can't wait to see the bulbs in flower. The little building is very quaint. Hope your projects are coming along well - do we get a peek when they are finished.
ReplyDeleteI love that little building as well... I think it is the one I am thinking of, between your place and mine... Trying to clean the house and solder all at once... Not working... The bulbs will look amazing, smart cookie...
ReplyDeleteHow romantic. You have an artists eye for photography methinks. This image took me back to a time when we were young and had 'discovered' an old ruin while out in the country. After spending some time playing inside this derelict building we also discovered SCORPIONS had taken up residence! We were out of there in a jiffy, let me tell you. My kids are still on holiday so I'll have to wait a bit longer for some time to myself.

Oh lucky you. My daughters just started their summer holiday.... But they are 12 and 15 so they manage quite well on their own. I plan to have alot of help from them when I`m renovating my old house :-) I start next week and will try to keep you updated on my "house-project" on my blog!
