Flowers and Paper

After Christmas when everything has settled down is always a nice time to reflect on the things that I enjoy and things that make me happy in the house.
I had fun making a pretty display out of some of my garden flowers. I love the textures of the flowers and the old paper. I often hesitate when picking flowers for the house at this time of year when it is so hot as they don't last as long as I would like in a vase. They seem to endure the heat better left out in the garden. But, I do like to see their happy smiley faces indoors ,so.....

  2. Dearest Angela!
Your flowers is like an oasis in a desert to me. Cold, grey and windy as it is here. I long for spring; the return of the light, the warmth, the flowers and birds singing. It feels very far of right now but time usually flies so before I know it - i`s here! I loved to read about your thoughts on the new year. I so agree. I tend to slow down and make each day count more and more for every year. Can´t be old age huh? Old age or not, slowing down has made my life that much better.

Hope you have a lovely day!

Lots of love to you my friend
